Pedestrian paths
Is there a better way of moving about and relaxing at the same time? Leading from the town of Krk to the surrounding areas are marked walking paths that, contain a short description of the respective location and are marked onto the map that you can purchase at all tourist agencies. The route will lead you by the sea, into the olive groves, through the small populated and abandoned villages We very much recommend the walking paths!

Bicycle riding
When riding a bike during the summer days, it is best to wake early and chose the morning freshness. You can chose for your route on asphalt roads and investigate the hinterland area of the town of Krk, which covering quite a large area, extends along the western area of the island. The degree to which this route is demanding, depends on how fit you are.
The road, covering twenty or so kilometres, will lead you along a tranquil area. If you want to add culture to this recreational event through culture, head for the Franciscan monastery at Glavotok, while a special experience is offered in searching the close chapel of St. Grysogonus (12th century), completely isolated in the middle of the forest. Having chosen this route, and should you physically be up to it, you can head for the ferry pier at Valbiska and travel to the neighbouring island of Cres.
The climb ahead is not easy, but you will enjoy the natural scenes which will surely help you conquer the climb. Lovers of mountain biking can travel the same route along roads that are not asphalted. Nevertheless, no matter what route you decide to take, you will meet many bicycle enthusiasts along the way, waiving to each other as you go by. You'll surely like it!
